Class is a British science fiction spin-off series from Doctor Who. Consisting of eight episodes and premiered on the online BBC Three channel in October 2016.
The sixth formers of Coal Hill Academy all have their own secrets and wants. They have to deal with the stresses of everyday life, including friends, parents, school work, sex, and sorrow, and also the horrors that come from time travel. The Doctor and his time-travelling have made the walls of space and time stretch thin, and monsters beyond imagining are planning to break through and wreak havoc upon the Earth.
The series explores several young adult themes including death and grief, abandonment and the difference between good and evil.
The first series of Class will run for eight 45 minute episodes, all be written by Patrick Ness. Filming began on 4 April 2016 in Cardiff. A second series is in development although not offically annouced.

Series One (2016)[]
Incredible dangers are breaking through the walls of time and space, and with darkness coming, London is unprotected.
The first series of Class deals with the aftermath of the Shadow Kin's annihilation of Charlie and Quill's home world and there new lives on Earth. The Shadow Kin follow them to Coal Hill School using a tear in space time, several students get caught up in the fight. These are Tanya, April, Ram and Matteusz. While the Shadow Kin serve as the big bad of the series, each episode features a different threat that has come through the tear. Major arcs of the series include the battle for April's heart, the mysterious 'Governers' and the fight against the Shadow Kin.
