The Twelfth Series of Doctor Who was confirmed by the BBC on the 7th December 2018, also revealing Jodie Whittaker would return for her second series in the role. Mandip Gill, Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole all returned as their characters; Yasmin Khan, Graham O'Brien and Ryan Sinclair respectively. In November 2020, it was confirmed the latter two characters would depart the series in the 2021 New Year's Day Special 'Revolution of the Daleks'. The series premiered on the 1st January 2020.
